    SSD Health check

To all the SSD owners out there, I was wondering the health of your SSD.

There's a nice little program called SSD life (Download the free one and post your stats)

Click on the camera for a snap shot.

To tell you the truth I'm quite shocked at how much space I've used and I've installed no games. I nearly brought a 64Gb M4, glad I went with the 128Gb.

Does anyone know how long the average HDD lasts?

    Re: SSD Health check

I have had my SSD for three weeks so far. I am using Windows 7 ATM and have switched off indexing, defragmentation and move the page file over to a mechanical disk.

It seems that my drive is only at 97% health after three weeks!!

Here's my Crucial M4 128GB which I've had since Friday:

And my Intel X25-M 80GB which I've had since... god knows:

Very happy with the Intel actually! Seems I've used for a long time and it's still doing so good!

Guess I'll go SSD shopping in 2020 (if I will keep them for so long haha)

Mine used to be like that until I flashed to a later firmware and it went to 100%.

    Re: SSD Health check

Are some of the older SSD's lasting longer due to the 34nm Nand?, DDY's Intel SSD is impressive.

    Re: SSD Health check

I see CAT and DDY went for the pro version, any reason?

Here's mine, surprisingly low writes given I deliberately use it as a paging/cache disk as well as the OS drive, maybe it's the sandforce compression?:

That is interesting, Mine is older and had a harder life and yours has the shorter predicted lifespan by 3 months.
