    Looking for SSD

Hey guys, im in the market for my first ssd, im thinking of a 60gb boot drive and I want a balance of speed and reliability and this deal looks quite tempting http://www.hexus.net/content/item.php?item=31537

Also would I notice a major difference between ssds such as ocz agility 3 and the crucial m4 drive ? For £47.36 I think the c300 is worth a shot?

    Re: Looking for SSD

Bought a Crucial M4 several weeks ago and I'm very pleased with it. On the weight of this, I've just taken up Crucial's offer and bought a C300 for another PC.

Haven't had a chance to use it yet but, although it's described as 'refurbished', it looks brand new.

Buy a 128GB C300 on offer while you still have the chance. You won't be disappointed.

The Crucial SSDs are nowhere near as quick as the Vertex 3 or Agility 3. OCZ drives are pretty reliable as long as you stay away from the 25nm Vertex 2 models....!

    Re: Looking for SSD

Last time I looked the refurbished C300s had all gone. Now they are offering 10% off the M4s (£88.79) but SCAN seems to be the cheapest at a shade under £75.

It is worth remebering that having a bit of an overhead in terms of capacity will improve SSD performance.

    Re: Looking for SSD

remember that the crucial c300 drives that are cheap on their website only have 30 days warranty. i would have bough one otherwise.
