Really good dvd burner

Hi,

Sorry if I am in the wrong section.

I am looking for a really good DVD Burner to burn movies and TV shows.

I am looking for performance, reliability, and quality.

I have no idea if thats the best choice for me or not, any advice, or help would be so much appreciated.

These things have been out for so long, they are much of a muchness as far as I know. Which is to say, if it works, and keeps working for some time, you have a good one.

I think the reliability might not be as good as it used to be as prices are so low but that's just a guess based on past experience.

Looking at this recommendation page though, looks like the one you picked from Scan should be fine. It's not like you are looking to burn Xbox 360 backups or something unusual - which we are probably not allowed to discuss here anyway.

Used a Sammy in a recent build (been mainly using LG for quite a while)....was quite impressed with it.

To be honest i have gone through a lot of these in the past through years across a number of PCS. The quality has somewhat dwindled in my opinion. Very odd behavior aswell they seem to just stop working one day...

The problem you might find is that noone does reviews on them anymore because they are all so cheap, you can pick them up for less than £15 so why bother fussing on.

I had a load of probs with my last LG, had to return under warranty eventually and swapped for a Pioneer, which is superb.
