Is it me or have HDD prices just sky-rocketed by 2.5 times?
Not been reading tech news or the real news for that matter?
There where floods in Thailand which wiped out Loads of hd factories causing the prices to rocket.

Shoot that's not good. I heard there were floods but that was a while ago - didn't realise things were still on-going. Suddenly SSDs look more attractive than ever!

Rumours are it could take up to 2 years for prices to get back to the levels they`ve been before the floods :(

In my new build ive decided to forget an extra HDD for now and grab an extra SSD until prices come down.
as my good friend DirectHex pointed out a while ago when I asked him what had occured to HHD prices....

It seems WD were not geographically diverse enough.
Oh jesus, about to buy/build a NAS for Christmas. Look like I'm going to have to wait til next year =/

this sucks im in the same predicament i need a samsung spinpoint f3 and i'm trying to find the cheapest ones around. Cheapest ive found are roughly £60 but their all sold out. Is there other websites i could try been searching religiously on google
