Agility 3 vs vertex 3 pricing

Looking at scan the prices of a 90GB Agility 3 SSD is £112 and the 90GB vertex 3 is £122. Now I heard that in that situation you should pay the tenners difference and get the vertex 3. Hypothetically say I could get hold a boxed unused Agility 3 for £100 should I go pay the extra 20 in that scenario or just sod it and go for the Agility 3?

Re: Agility 3 vs vertex 3 pricing

Vertex 3 is definitely the way to go. The agility can run as quickly but when compressing data is not possible it is much slower. The review from Bittech/ custom PC was that the performance drops a lot more than the price.(http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/sto...-240gb-review/)

For incompressable data the transfer rate is 200Mb/s instead of 500. For the price it is not worth it. Scan often have SSDs on today only deals so I'd wait until the vertex 3 is on offer-I think it was last week. I'm planning to get the vertex as soon as my bank balance and cheapskate nature will allow.

you also get an OCZ 2.5" to 3.5 Inch Mounting Bracket for Solid State Drives with the vertex and not agility which is worth around £7.00. Much better option of going with the vertex over the agility.
