How should I duplicate my RAID0 array?

My workstation has a RAID0 array of 2x500gb drives for 1tb usable. This is then partitioned into 4. Unfortunately I'm running out of space now so want to move everything to a 2x1tb array of the same configuration, but I can well do without reinstalling Windows and setting everything up again.

What I'd like to do is create the new array and use some disk imaging software to duplicate everything from the original onto the new, then expand partitions as necessary. I'm using the built-in AMD RAID on my ASUS Crosshair IV Formula mainboard.

I don't think I can use the RAID controller to mirror the array unless the target is the same size?

Any advice would be welcomed, particularly with regards to what imaging software will be up to the task.

    Thanks!

Do a full image backup, restore to the new array.

You need a backup anyway - if either drive has any data loss at all, you'll lose the entire array. Do you really need RAID0?

RAID0 argh! I thought that died when SSDs became mainstream.

Re: How should I duplicate my RAID0 array?

All of my data is backed up daily over the network so I'm not concerned about data loss via a disk or array failure. The reason it's there is to push more performance from the disks for video editing.

So - something like Acronis True Image maybe? Has anyone had any joy with Clonezilla with the AMD RAID on the SB850 chipset?
