SSD Dual-boot Win7/XP

I'm getting a 120Gb SSD soon and I'm thinking that I'm going to try partitioning the drive into two and dual-boot Windows 7 and XP so that I'll be using Windows XP for playing games, and Windows 7 for pretty much everything else. Does anyone else have this set up and can share their experiences? I just have a feeling that games will run better when using XP.

I don't see this as a reason for having a dual boot system. I would ditch Xp altogether and just go Full Win7 If you have decent system specs.

Fair enough...I remember my old house mates while ago all using XP rather than Vista and they all said they chose XP over Vista because it runs quicker when playing games. I guess maybe I'm talking a different kettle of fish regarding Vista vs Win7

Without a doubt Vista was a very poor OS, used it for a year, and at times was tempted to go back to XP. Windows 7 sp1 is a different animal.

Bear in mind: no DirectX 10 graphics with XP.

I've checked the date on this thread twice now. For typical PC usage, there is no good reason whatsoever to use XP over 7.
