I need some advice

I ran a read/write test on my new Samsung 830 SSD this weekend and was little miffed to discover that it is running at roughly 2/3 its rated speeds.

I didn't have any problems with setup and I have been using it quite happily since installing but I am wondering if there is anything that I have done/not done that is reducing the speeds.

Go to BIOS, check that AHCI mode is enabled. (have a google search on how to do this if your not sure, its not too difficult).

Also, check in your mobos instruction mannual that your drive is plugged into the correct (SATAIII - 6GB/s) port.
