Best 120/128GB SSD for around £70

    The contenders:

    Sandisk Extreme
    http://www.scan.co.uk/products/120gb...83000-iops-max

    OCZ Agility 3
    http://www.scan.co.uk/products/120gb...0mb-s-85k-iops

    OCZ Vertex 3
    http://www.scan.co.uk/products/120gb...0mb-s-85k-iops

    Corsair Force Series 3 Series
    http://www.scan.co.uk/products/120gb...s-85000-iops-p

    Crucial RealSSD M4
    http://www.scan.co.uk/products/128gb...-s-new-version

I will be using it for video rendering, Photoshop, etc. so I will be using it to its full potential and therefore I'm looking to balance performance and cost.
I know you guys are absolute geniuses when it comes to these kind of situations, looking at stuff that is way over my head like 'toggle NAND' and 'MAX IOPS'!
I hope this will help out other people in the same situation.

    Thanks!

From the drives you list, the Sandisk is best, no question. Toggle mode NAND is good NAND.

Go for the Samsung, basic kit- you don't need all the stuff that comes with the others- you can buy sata cables individually cheaper, etc.

Samsung and Sandisk a close second. Either way your choice, I only have a Kingston 128gb SDDNow 200, which so far doing well. Had it for £50, lol.

Crucial m4 is about £77 and samsung 830 is about £80, you cant go wrong with either, very reliable and speedy too.

Re: Best 120/128GB SSD for around £70

I've ordered the Samsung 830 128GB for £68.39 from Novatech. There should be a few more sales now that the 840 is out.

£68 for Samsung 830 is a right deal how did you find that also i would say 830 just because all the reviews i have read it may be £7 over budget but it seems to be worth it.
