1. Intel is a good brand and i would look at a 120Gb for a C drive or if you can afford bigger go for it. Samsung get some good press on these forums as well.
2. Yes for normal SSD use one of the intel 6Gb connectors.
3. You will probably need a mounting kit or brackets to mount in any bay bigger than 2.5", if you buy OEM Intel 520, if you buy retail it comes with them. About £4 to £20 to buy on their own.
Do some searches on the forum for info on different SSD setups and sizes and decide which is best for you and your needs. Some people can manage on just a 60Gb drive for their operating system only and a few small apps some like me have OS, apps and a game or two on the 120Gb drive and then use normal HDD for other games and programs.
You may want to plan ahead for future storage needs and performance improvements by setting up for intel Rapid storage Technology which your MB is capable of.
