So I'm in the process of transferring over to a new build for my home workhorse computer and am having a bit of a nightmare working out what drives to keep and how to use them most effectively...

Has anyone got any input on what the best configuration might be?

My work is film post-production, CG and design - so I crunch through large amount of video data, large CG renders and large Photoshop documents.

From my old system the drives I have available are -

1TB Samsung F3 - BOOT

1TB Samsung F3
1TB Samsung F3 - Software RAID-0
1TB Samsung F3

2TB WD Green - In a Synology enclosure which backs up the RAID each night
2TB WD Green

I also have a available:

1 x Intel 480GB 520 Series SSD
1 x SanDisk 480GB Extreme SSD

Now, I'm getting a little boggled as to what would be the most efficient options.

Ideally I'd like to keep the 3TB RAID as it is due to it having a lot of current projects on. Could I use one of the SSDs as an SSD cache for the RAID or does the fact it's a RAID mess with that feature?

Would I use one of the SSD's as my boot, if so which one would you advise?

Would it also maybe be worth raiding the SSD's and using them as a scratch disk for photoshop/after effects and to render projects to?

In case this effects any random bandwidth issues I might not be aware of, The specs of the new build are -
