i made the striped volume through windows disk management
i have had that running on a new motherboard as it's windows software based.

how do i do it to work coz i have got a old 2001 to a new board with sata3 ports for my origanal sata 2
assuming this isnt the boot drive, if not you do it via drive managment and it should pick up the array, it was a long long time ago back when i thought raid0 was a good idea
in reality i would get as much off as you can and ditch the array.

well i use the raid 0 for fast speed for video making so it come is handy haha but i want to upgrade to a 2 tb hard drvie to get ride of it but atm raid0 is my option but i need to no when i get my new board i can keep my raid with out losing my data
Unfortunately I dont think youd be able to move your RAID into a different motherboard even if it was done via Windows. Best bet is to move all the files onto your C drive or external drives and then create the raid and move them back.
Moving software based RAID in Windows is trivial. More so as there is a standard 'rebuild' option. You can also use the Windows management console to alter anything about it.
I'm the same as GoNz0 - I've moved it without issue before.
Still, the data should be backed up before any changes.
Ahh i remember they days of a raid 0 with 2 500GB hard disks, had its advantages i guess until i moved boards and forgot to back up :/
