I am planning on getting a new case a new psu and an ssd but I am worried that it might not accept my windows key again if I swap my OS to the ssd does anyone know if it will let me re-use my windows key? or will I have to get hold of another key.

worst case you ring the freephone number and get an automated validation service if the keys rejected.

if it's same mobo and CPU then you should be fine.
A drive move / transfer rarely triggers activation. Vista had some really over the top triggers (a USB removable HDD triggered it once for me :|) but they massively toned it down in a patch.
Now it's normally motherboard changing related.
Ah good to hear I was worried I'd end up having to get hold of another key but I don't plan on changing my motherboard or my cpu for a while.
I have done it before and it was fine for me
