Which NAS? Zyxel NSA325 or Synology DiskStation DS213j???

Hi

Been looking to get a nas for a while now and have narrowed it down to 2.

Zyxel NSA325 or Synology DS213j

Both have good reviews but just wondered if anyone has one or thinks which one is best?

Like how you can add wifi dongle to make Synology a hotspot not sure you can do that with the Zyxel?

Synology. I have a DS212j and you will love it. The software is the real deal. And the smart phone apps. Literally the whole thing is a big good package. Plus a huge number of additional apps. Trust me, Synology is the one for you. If I would have to guess, the only other NAS manufacturer I could compare it to would be Qnap, but certainly not Zyxel.

Have you considered using an old computer and installed FreeBSD or something and use that as an cheapo NAS with much better functionality? If yes, I'd suggest synology too.
