    Opinions on Laptop Hard Drive

I need to get an additional HD for a Qosmio x70 laptop, and I was wondering if anyone could recommend one from experience. I want to combine storage, speed and good cost/value. Thanks!

what drives do you already have installed? AFAICT the x70 has 3 bays - an mSATA for SSD and 2x 2.5" bays? That gives a lot of options, so it's worth knowing what you already have and what you plan to do with it!

Consumer hard drives are made down to a price more than up to a quality level, I tend to buy Western Digital Black drives simply because they have a 5 year warranty. If the manufacturer only trusts it for a year, I won't trust it either. WD Black drives are also quick.

If you are interested in an SSD, Samsung and Intel seem to have the best reputation for reliability.
