For some reason I assumed the OP wanted to master a DVD-video and was running into trouble there. :embarrassed:
With Vista or above, you should just be able to drag and drop files to the drive. With XP, I think it needs to be formatted as FAT32 (not UDF) for that to work.
That's what he *should* be doing (with DVD+-R) if he wants to create videos to play on DVD players :) I was bamboozled by the whole DVD-video vs data for ages too.Quote:

If your DVD player is DVD-RAM compatible then it can read the data fine, it just doesn't know what to do with the data because it's not a WMV player, it's a DVD player, so you need the data to be in a DVD-video format.Quote:

For free burning software, try Imgburn.
As above, DVD players generally can't play WMV files - however some have some specific video formats they can play, which should be mentioned in the manual and/or noted on the player itself.

Just don't bother with the iso output for reasons I mentioned earlier - just copying the files over might work depending on the player.
It may not be the best, but I use this one whenever I'm burning a DVD from a movie file and it worked well so far.
