Decent bang for your buck laptop HDD?
I've just bought a laptop with reasonable spec but only a 200GB 4200 RPM HDD!
I think an SSD is to pricey for my needs so am thinking of a SSHD, the Seagates seem to be the most well like, the gen3 500GB is £54 from Scan so in leaking towards it, I'd like more space but can't justify going up to £80-odd.
Any other suggestions before I click buy?

Re: Decent bang for your buck laptop HDD?
SSHDs are a great way to compromise, or if you can afford/willing to loose the optical drive, can put a second drive instead of the optical drive in there (preferably the slower HDD) and buy a SSHD or SSD as the main disk. To keep the optical drive viable for you plus gain extra HDD > One manufacturer has an external optical drive enclosure plus and optical drive bay HDD caddy in one for around £10 which is a great price (I check home if I remember).

I ended up with the seagate slim sshd from Scan for £50, nice and nippy compared to the old one!
