    Recommend USB memory sticks?

Not sure if there's a recommended one out there, but there's so many available now it's hard to choose one. Preferably 32gb with USB 3.0 interface.

    Any recommendations appreciated. Thanks.

    Re: Recommend USB memory sticks?

You should be okay as long as you grab one from a reliable brand such as Kingston, Corsair, Sandisk and Lexar IMO.

    Re: Recommend USB memory sticks?

Yep, you're pretty much looking at Corsair or Kingston, there.
I've had other brands of USB3, but most have either been slow or karked it and required reformatting every time you plugged them into something... which loses the data, of course.

Generally, you get what you pay for, especially with USB3.0.
Corsair Voyager series or Kingston DataTraveler range, really.

The Kingston DataTraveler R3.0 is probably THE fastest USB3 flash drive out there, judging by the stunning reviews it keeps getting. Comes in 32GB as well.

    Re: Recommend USB memory sticks?

I would avoid refurb drives as well, even from big, reliable manufacturers. Maybe it's just me, but I feel like I've heard a lot of bad stories about them and the warranties are usually dreadful. For the saving, it's not worth the hassle.

Seconded - I just mentioned in a review thread about this exact topic. Stay away from refurbs, I had a Corsair Flash Voyager 32Gb USB3 drive die in less than 6 months. For the saving its not worth the hassle.

    Re: Recommend USB memory sticks?

Most likely going to with the Sandisk Extreme 32gb, from my research it has great reviews on its performance and reliability, not crazy expensive either, thanks a lot.

I've tried many brands, but always go back to Sandisk or Corsair, will not buy any other brand now.

    Re: Recommend USB memory sticks?

I always found SanDisk flash drives OK, but blatantly the cheap end. Never had one fail, but often seen the physical casings break or fall apart.

Go for the Kingston Datatraveller SE9H. It is made out of metal and is impossible to get damaged.

I have a 64GB SanDisk Extreme USB 3, and can highly recommend it for the speed, but it is more expensive than similar capacity drives, so depends what you are after =)

    Re: Recommend USB memory sticks?

As stated above I have 2x SanDisk Extreme USB (3.0) drives and they get some of the fastest read/write speeds on test. If you are after tiny sized USB drives I also purchased 2x Kingston DataTravelers Micro which truly are tiny. They are available up to 64GB in size too. USB 2.0 only though.
