Lo people
I need a larger SSD than my old Intel 80gig
What's the best reliable SSD for under £60?
Speed's not so vital as long life and reliability.
Samsung 250 gig at £58 looks awesome value but I am open to knowledge and advice please.
thanks :)

Sandisk plus seem to be highly regarded! I'm considering one for my aged laptop.
Sandisk SSDs have 3 years warranty and the Samsung 850 EVO has 5 years.
Personally I would go with the Samsung 850 EVO, purely for the peace of mind. I have installed loads of them into clients computers and only had 1 come back (died a few days after installation).
I have also installed 10+ Sandisk Plus drives since the recent bargain basement offers, all of them are still working and they are doing a great job at giving old home/office computers a proper speed boost.
Can't knock Samsung, they have been amazing for me.
I have never used sandisk but they have a good set of reviews.
+1 on the EVO, my 250GB is amazing.
If you go Samsung, make sure to purchase an 850 series of the drives. I also have an 850 so +1 for them.
Just had a look around, Snap that samsung up. It is much better :)
Another vote for Samsung.
Samsung have recently had problems. Their previous model, the 840 Evo, slowed down on old files and they were unable to fix the issue. What about Crucial's BX100?
samsung are just OCZ, they kept OCZ ssd team when OCZ when bankrupt
toshiba brought OCZ http://www.theregister.co.uk/2014/03..._pcie_flasher/
samsung must have lost
Based on past experience I would go with a Samsung, reliable and good length on warranty
So basically, again, you are talking utter tosh.
Can we not ban this account already? Whoever it is never adds anything use full to discussions and just throws random, often false information around....
Ive got two SSD's are the moment and have been looking for a large one as my Steam games fills one of them a bit too quickly..so this thread couldn't have come at a better time
