    Black Friday deals on storage?

Are we expected to see any deals on storage? HHD's, SSHD's, SSD's? What do you people think? If so, where, what?

I saw this deal too - most of the disks were sold to Amazon Prime subscribers who get access 30 minutes ahead of everyone else. A bit annoying really!

Isn't it still available? I still see it at £150. or am I mixing it up?

To be honest, it looks like a bargain, if that's exactly what you need, but it's a bit too much for me, budget wise.

It's still showing the lightning price but all you can do is join the waiting list in case someone doesn't complete the purchase. It shows the normal price just underneath on the right.

I bought the Samsung EVO 500Gb for £91 from Amazon last week, so there are deals around. Still, that SanDisk deal looked even better...

Indeed, they were all gone when I looked. The ssd seems to have decent read speeds but very slow write speeds so I am not disappointed I missed out.

PC world have a 5tb WD USB drive for £90

Worth breaking the case to stick it in a PC, Green drives not red.

Re: Black Friday deals on storage?

I picked up a 1TB Samsung 850 Evo for £190, didn't see that 960GB drive for £150 which is a shame, but I'm sure this drive will end up in my next PC too so I don't mind losing the £40.

I just looked and they have stock for home delivery now but the price has gone up. £130 still seems cheap for 5tb to me. What drive(s) are inside? A single 5tb drive?

Re: Black Friday deals on storage?

amazons got the 5TB Toshiba for £104.94 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Toshiba-HDWC...s=5tb+external
    and a Seagae 5TB for £114.98 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Seagate-Back...s=5tb+external

so PcWorld is still too expensive.
