am wondering if someone has experience on this front
I am wondering if my mobo will support the NVME version of sm951, I've searched the internet high and low and seems I can't find an answer to this, I know the non NVME one is supported
I have the ASUS H170 M-Plus

I think the Z series mobo's should be fine.. Yours is doubtful.. I would try contacting Asus directly and see their answer!Quote:

You may have trouble if you want to use it as your boot drive though (again from what I've read)
have you try to contact ASUS? there are other brand like MSI that support NVME on H170 bios. My Asus Z170 does support it your H170 should also.
