Destroy the disk, buy a new one, recover from backup.
That would imply I had it backed up
Normally I'd have done that as it's obviously not worth anything but it's full of old files and photos I haven't got anywhere else!
If it doesn't even spin, then assuming the motor is okay, the best you can do is find a drive of the exact same model & firmware version on eBay and swap the PCB.
Any more than that and you'll need to give it to a data recovery company. The last time my employer used one, it cost around £600.

I had heard of changing the pcb so I might just give that a go. Here's hoping!!!
If the drive doesn't appear in device manager anymore, then a replacement PCB may well save you.
If the BIOS and OS are seeing the drive but not accessing it, then your chances are very slim.
