Samsung Evo plus has label on it with Samsung logo, drive details etc. Should I remove this before fitting mobo heatsink? Should I use heatsink at all? (MSi x570 ace)

I wouldn't remove the label. Firstly, I think the label is made from copper & is designed to be thermally conductive. Secondly, it may void your warranty if you remove it (in the US such warranty void T&Cs aren't legal any more apparently, but I don't know about the UK or Europe).

as above I think there is come actual reason behind the stickers.. and ofc the warrenty would probably be void.
As MrJim says, it probably serves a purpose.
Not sure why people feel the need to slap heatsinks on, so long as the controller has good airflow you should be golden.
I haven't seen my nvme get anywhere near concerning temperatures.
Grab that. Get that. Check it out. Bring that here. Grab anything useful. Take anything good.

I suspect a lot of it is cosmetic - putting heat-spreading covers over M.2 drives improves their appearance somewhat. I have seen reviews where M.2 SSDs could start to throttle due to high temperatures, but they were hammering the drives for extended periods of time in order to observe that. Outside of a server environment, I doubt most people would need additional cooling, especially if your PC has reasonable airflow.

Thanks all. Were the nvme bay not going to end up partially below the CPU cooler I'd probably just leave the cover off and see what happens but access will be a faff to put it on later so I'll just do it from the off.
I wouldn't remove the label, keep it on and just install it.
As for the heatsink I would use it
What label?

Not if the mods decide they weren't meaningful posts and dock his count. I'd argue resurrecting a thread after that much time to post information that others had already given and when the OP has already said they'd decided what to do is not a meaningful post but then I'm not a mod here.
This was only the ninth one down from the top in the forum section.
Even if it was 9th, if they read the thread which you would expect someone to do you would know the question had been answered??

Not just answered the machine is long since built. I'd even confirmed at the end of the thread to say what I'd decided to do.
