    N4100 Help required

    Hello all,

I've got flashing red led's on all my drives in our N4100. The real problem is that a colleague of mine who no longer works here ordered, installed and configured the system; and I can't find any of the documentation, CD's etc for it.

I've downloaded the manual from the thecus website, and also the Setup Wizard. This does not find the unit, though.

    Anxiously waiting,

    Andrew.

    Daer Sir,

Seem the HDD or RAID damaged, thus please confirm following:
    1. Verify the network cable link from LAN1 to PC/HUB/ROUTE.
    2. Waiting the beep sound since power up 2~3 mins.
    3. Thecus Setup Wizard deosn't block by Windows firewall.

    Yvon,

    1. Plugged Thecus directly to laptop and was able to access it.
    2. Not sure waht you mean. There is no beeping, but the machine is never switched off.
    3. Windows firewall turned off.

Still Setup Wizard does not find it.

    Andrew.

    Dear Sir,

    1. If we could access to the N4100, please try to login admin configuration page & check what happen from the system log from: System-> Logs.

    2. If N4100 is workign fine, sicne power up and 2~3 mins later, we would hear a beep sound for power up successfully.

When I log in, all I see is a listing of the folders on the drive. I don't get any menus, configuration options etc. The admin/admin username password combination doesn't work, so I'm using Administrator and our usual password, which gets me in.

I've restarted the unit - no beep and the led's start flashing randomly green indicating data and then turn to flashing red.

    Dear Sir,

The system configuration page must need Administrator level account/password, the thecus preset admin/admin.

Thanks for that. All logged in now.

Raid Status shows as degraded. Capacity is 90%, disk number two is not ticked as RAID, and not ticked as spare. Is this the faulty disk as Disks Information shows all four as OK.
