Thecus N5200 supports international file names?

    Hello!

I have planed to buy an Thecus N5200 network system.

At time I use a solution from DLINK, the DNS-323.
My problem is I have files with international file names (German, Thai, Korean and Chinese).
The actually DLINK DNS-323 does not support this filenames and has damage them!

My question is if the Thecus N5200 supports this international file names.
About an answer I would be happy!

    Best regards, Thorsten :-)

    Hi Thorsten,

    Short answer: yes!

Long answer: I've just tried to create a file with a filename in kyrillic - no problems.
I don't have far eastern languages installed like Thai or Korean but it should work too.
The Linux operating system on the N5200 uses UTF8 for the file system so any language should work theoretically.

    Hi,

I can confirm that Chinese characters are fine as I have some titles with mixture of English, Chinese Traditional and Chinese Simplified characters :-)
