Hi,
I tested the FTP server functionality today. Please correct me if I am wrong here.
Basically you have to set ACL's on folders and then turn thr FTP server on, thats it?
There is no configuration setting as to connection timeout or maximum connections or anything of that sort, is there?
Also, once the ACL's are set, can users jump to different folders? Havent tried this one yet.
For eg, I have a folder music with username "ABC" who can access it.
Then if user ABC puts this URL on his machine, (ftp on my ipaddress)
Will he see the folders that reside on my NAS? Or will he be denied access?
Next is if he enters (ftp on my ipaddress/music), I am guessing he will be asked to enter "ABC" along with the password. Can he then go one level on top and see the directory structure on my NAS?
Thanks
