    Time to build/recover Raid

    Hi,

Just bought a N5200 - updated the firmware and rebooted while the RAID set (5x500 GB drives in RAID 5) was being created which maybe wasn't the smartest move! It's now "recovering" and has been for 5 hours - how long should this take? I cant see any way of checking progress with the version 2 firmware...?

    Re: Time to build/recover Raid

OK - things are working nicely but I am having issues with the NFS service now. I've got the latest version of the firmware which I believe has issues? I am getting lots of "permission denied" errors even though I appear to have everything set up correctly?

Is permission denied going to be related to the latest firmware problems? When is a fix being released?

    Re: Time to build/recover Raid

    Dear Sir,

The V2.00.01 have some issue with NFS, if you need the NFS function immediately, please try on this beta version firmware, or waiting the offical release version later.

Following beta verison link & instruction for your reference:

    1. Please add -v parameter in mount NFS command and see if the problem get resolve.

    For example:
    #mount -v nfs NAS_IP:/share /destination

    2. After upgrade firmware from v2.00.01 to v2.00.03, the NFS setting need to reconfigure. In addition, the NFS Support have to be enabled in [Network / NFS] page, and [Storage / Folder / NFS] page is assigned specific host.

    Re: Time to build/recover Raid

    Dear Sir,

If it is the beta firmware v2.00.03, following suggestion for your refernce:

    1. Reset the NFS function in [Network / NFS] page, and [Storage / Folder / NFS] page is assigned specific host.

    2. Please try to remove the -V, For example: #mount nfs NAS_IP:/share /destination

    Re: Time to build/recover Raid

Beta firmware has fixed it. Any idea when the new firmware will be released proper?
