    N5200 invisible from outside

    Dear Sir Yvon,

My Thecus N5200B Pro is connected from the WAN port to the Switch. In this setup is the Thecus N5200 accesible from outside?

I think it's more secure to make it only visible on the LAN. Is this possible and is it more secure (e.g. hackers)?

    Kind Regards,
    Jordi

    Re: N5200 invisible from outside

    Dear Sir,

It is depend on your network configuration & environment, we coudl imageine N5200 as like a PC if we didn't access to the ourside or publish for Internet user to access, the N5200 should be invisible form outside, for example if it is from ADSL->ROUTE->SWITCH->N5200 & PC, we just need confirm the ROUTE deosn't publish the related port for N5200 release on the Internet or assign the DMZ to N5200.

In some case we would need user provide the IP address for us to login & analysis, it is like an opposite way to un-publish the N5200 on the Internet too.

    Yvon.
