    Question N5200 PRO idle shutdown

    Hi!

I'm using a N5200 PRO as a storage device for media files.
Hence my streaming client hardware supports the Wake-on-Lan feature for attached NAS devices,
I can turn on the streaming client with a remote control and the client wakes up the N5200 PRO. Perfect!
What I'm really missing is a way to shutdown the N5200 PRO automatically when it's no longer needed.
The disk-idle spin down is not an option because the Thecus should power off when the streaming
    client is off.
Would it be possible to implement a shutdown option in a future firmware release that will
power off the unit after an adjustable time of inactivity?

    Re: N5200 PRO idle shutdown

    Dear Yvon,

thank you very much for the reply.
It would be really great if such a shutdown feature could be implemented and I guess it would
make the N5200 PRO very attractive for home theater users with large media collections.
Actually, I bought the unit because of its Wake-on-Lan option that I couldn't find in any
other NAS device on the market.
