    Thecus NAS devices

    Hey all and hey thecus.

I was thinking of buying a Thecus NAS storage device for use at home to give my mum and the main family computer somewhere to back up to.

I was wondering how easy it is to setup one of your products and which of your products would you recommend?

If more info will help here goes, my mum has an ebay shop so she has lots of pictures and other files and documents that will need backing up where as the family PC is used for playing games, some college work and other bits and bobs.

    Thanks in advance.

    Re: Thecus NAS devices

they are very easy to setup!

You can easily dump files to them from the shares you can setup....

    I'd get a 2xxx series - or the new 3xxx series...

    Re: Thecus NAS devices

by easy to setup, is it just a case of connecting them to a router then setting up shares and away they go?

    Re: Thecus NAS devices

Thanks Yvon and Funkstar, this seems pretty simple and easy to do.

I guess the only thing to do is find on of these handy little devices and give it a go.

Ive not had a proper read of the manuals but am assuming it is possible to allow two PCs to backup to the NAS?
