Accidental deletion of a RAID folder in a N5200

    Hi to everybody,

By "experimenting" with the web interface of a N5200 I accidentaly deleted a RAID folder that I have created. Is there any way that i can recover the data that were included in this folder? Since that accidental deletion, i have not copied anything else on the N5200, so its current status is the same as just after the accidental deletion.

Coud you help me in this area? I would like if possible to recover all the files that I have placed inside this folder.

    Thanks in advance

I hate to say it but I think you are out of luck. As far as I know there is no recycle bin or snapshots that are currently working.

Thank you dlovely (although the news were not so encouraging :-))

Does anybody know whether we can access the Linux OS that runs in the N5200? In this way, there might be a way to retrieve the lost data by running existing recovery utilities that are suitable for Linux. Just an idea...

Could someone from Thecus help in this issue?

    Again, thanks for all contributions

There ar a lot of usefull addons for the N5200 in the Thecus Wiki. Two of the modules enable ssh access to the linux command shell: SYSUSER and SSHD.
However if You install these modules they are installed on the harddisk and may overwrite the areas on the harddisk where your data are. Recovery accidently deleted data on a linux ext3 file system is not that easy and there are not so many tools arround. I think Your data are lost.
