Unhappy N1200 not setting IP Address

Just got an N1200 today and plugged it in as per instructions.

The PC that I connected with, does not get a proper IP address and so cannot see the N1200.

I have tried assigning the IP address manually as per instructions, but still cannot see it.

I have tried several PC's and several network cables to rule out problems.

It seems like a faulty unit but wanted to see if anyone else has had similar problems and fixed them.

    Thanks

    Larrie

Talking Re: N1200 not setting IP Address

Thanks for the reponses, all were helpful, however I figured out what was wrong, and unit is not faulty.

I was using one of my CAT5 cables to connect with and this didnt seem to work in the WAN port.

Used the new one that came in the box and connected via the WAN port, having had to set the IP address of my PC and the DNS server manually in the PC network connections.

    Everything running smoothly now.

Hope this answer helps someone else.

    Cheers
