N4100+, RAID5 & Stripe Size

Is there any documentation re. the influence on speed performances of N4100+ according to the value given to the strip size when configuring RAID5?

And has anyone a good utility to point at to assist in assessing the breakdown of NTFS disks w.r.t files size and number?

Dear Sir,

The Strip size as like the block size on the PC HDD, if we using large single file in often, the strip size bigger would be better, the Theucs preset strip size at 64KB for most situation needs.

May I take another perspective, again w.r.t. the use of the N4100+: if I go for a 1024kB stripe size, is there a sensible waste/loss in terms of storage, would the stored files are for 50% less than 1MB sized?

By the way I went to Disk Size Manager for the utility to assess the size/number of files I had on the different HDDs over the networked PCs.

DSM offers a view with number of files and total size per type of file. This can be determined by directory or HDD.

DSM can be found in trial & commercial version @ Disk Size Manager - Powerful Disk Space Explorer, Directory/Folder Size Browser!
