Anyway tried a watt meter to see what the N299 uses (ideally with 2x 500Gb). I'm interested in replacing a entry level Dell running FreeNAS.
Also what's the noise level like ?

Read in this forum more about the n299 an then think again, if you want to buy it. it´s loud an the hdd get realy hot.
