    n299. Web interface has stopped responding

    Hi,

    Firmware .24

    The web interface has stopped responding. A reboot doesn't make a difference, leaving it off for a while and booting doesn't either. 'The connection has timed out. The server at n299 is taking too long to respond.' Have tried via domain name and IP.

    Last thing I remember doing is turning off IP service (or something), then it just seemed to hang.

    Network drives etc still attach and it is still usable but no changes at all can be made (nor firmware reinstalled). Nothing else on my network has changed

    How can I reinstall firmware / reset or fix?

    No problem,

    connect your PC directly to N299 on LAN port with cable.
    Let your PC using an IP out of 192.168.2.x but not 254 (its N299)
    So you should have connection to N299 over IE with h ttp://192.168.2.254

    Hi tried that (connected pc direct to bottom lan port), and was able to connect, view folders, ping N299 etc, however web interface still did not respond.

    I am also having this problem after receiving the NAS today and updating the firmware to V1.00.24. Any ideas?

    Hi, any more information on this problem?

    This obviously is a major issue and I will need to send the box back if it cannot be fixed.
