N299 Suggestion: Gallery + Download Manager

Hi, I am new Thecus user for about 3 weeks. so far so good, and i like this product.... except there maybe some enhancements need to do on Gallery side... User group forum is so quite and nobody there...


1) Gallery - Cover
I was spending 3 days to setup all covers for my albums (from office remote to home's N299). but when i login as another user, all the covers was gone and resume to default icon. the covers only show to the owner.

2) Gallery - ACL
i was expecting after setup ACL with user login, anonymous login will have no read rights on gallery. however, this is not the case. someone without login can see all my photos.

3) Gallery - Frontend
3.1 - Fonts are too small
3.2 - If lenght of folder is too long, it becomes "...", but my screen is wide enough
3.3 - Album and Picture is using the same "computer" frame.

4) Gallery - Inheritance folder structure
This may not be necessary, but it is good to have this kind of window's thumbnail like function.

In general, I am not asking to have a fancy gallery function. but at least, it should be similar to some other web services, e.g. yahoo photo, google photo, multiplier.... etc
with user control...
setup cover so that my friends (in ACL list) can see it....
blabla....

5) Download Manager
Can the list of download expand from 5 to 10? or no limited?

Hope to hear from one of the support very soon. and waiting for new firmware release.

downloaded, but seems no difference... don't know what's new for this beta?

i found out seems like n299 does not take ACL on Gallery. why i say that is because if anonymous browse my NAS, webdisk and music were secured (i.e. anonymous cannot retrieve data). However, Gallery is like a public album to everyone.

if Thecus developer have a chance to look into my post, please

100% agree !
The same issue(?) happening with n2100 a module can fix(?) the problem.
Unfortunately, no module exist for the n299 yet.
