Re: Thecus n7700 - Anymore Info

The N7700, N8800 and the new N4100Pro will share their firmware with the N5200/N5200Pro, as they are built around the same x86 platform.

Not all features will be shared, for instance the N5200 doesn't support iSCSI, but I would guess that the feature set of the N5200Pro and the N7700 will be pretty much the same. Thecus may be able to introduce more intensive features on the N7700 though because of the faster processor and more memory.

Funny... I was doing a google search for M3800 and saw a very short description at Tom's hardware and nothing else. Thecus' website does not show anything.

Re: Thecus n7700 - Anymore Info

    G'day Again,

Can Thecus staff confirm if there will still be the module enhancement in the n7700 & n8800 just like the n5200?

I mean, at the end of the day, this is what makes Thecus have the edge on the market and will keep them infront!!!

Surely anyone who owns a n5200 would again...

Re: Thecus n7700 - Anymore Info

The 3800 is a re-name of the 3200M. They decided that just adding an "M" didn't really make the point how different a system it is, with the built-in media *player*.
