Hi Guys and Gals,
I'm trying to get a N5200 working on a Windows 2003 domain.
While we can get the users to "see" the N5200 under ADS, we seem to be unable to get the directories and files to inherit the correct User Security Permissions from ADS.
When we create folders or files on the N5200 from a user workstation, the folders and files have default rather than inherited Permissions. We need to "fix" this so each user has control over their own files, and protection from access by other users.
We can do this on other servers and workstations in the Server 2003 domain, but the same techniques do not seem to work for the Thecus N5200.
A bit frustrating to say the least, as we know that we could have put up a Windows 2003 Server with RAID and it would have worked first time!
Does anyone have any ideas as to whether we have a NAS or Server 2003 problem?
I haven't put too much info up yet, as I'm not sure what will be relevant to solving the problem
thanks,
