Adding 1TB disk instead of 500GB

    Hi,

I have a Thecus N5200 with five 500Gb disks, if i replace them one by one with 1TB disks can I after that resize the partition? If no can I instead create a new one on the free space?

    thx

    you can do either.

Once you have replaced all five disks, the array can be expanded to use the additional space. or you can allocate the space to another RAID volume or an iSCSI volume.

Re: Adding 1TB disk instead of 500GB

All disks is now swapped to WD Greenpower 1TB disks and everything seems to work great, also changed the config in them so they dont drop out from the raid.
