NTP time off by 2 hrs on N5200 Pro

The N5200 was, at least until recently, off by 2 hrs when using any NTP server. With NTP the time here in the Australia/Sydney time zone was 2 hrs ahead of the real time. This is with firmware 2.00.14. Now that the time zones around the world have stabilised, it seems as if the time is correct again when obtained via NTP. I guess this is more an NTP problem then ?

    Dear Sir,

    Following suggestion for your reference:
    1. If NTP server on the Internet, please confrim this N5200 with correct DNS & GATEWAY to access the NTP server, or ROUTE doesn't block the NTP port 123.
    2. Change the NTP to manaully, and choose a NTP server nearby your area.
    3. Choose the NTP to NO, and using manaul input to verify any difference between item 1 & 2.

2.00.14 has an NTP bug, I have the same problem.

All other devices on my network are able to to get a correct time, verified on a couple of different NTP servers.
The N5200 PRO / 2.00.14 is 2 hours ahead on all NTP servers I tried.

I am in GMT +7 (Bangkok, Thailand) and can only get a correct time by setting my timezone to GMT +5

    Dear Sir,

We running on GMT+8 with clock.isc.org didn't found this issue, thus we would change to your time zone GMT+7 Bangkok & GMT+10 Sydney to verify this issue.

Re: NTP time off by 2 hrs on N5200 Pro

    Using clock.isc.org

Changing to GMT + 8 (Hongkong) and time is 2 hours ahead.
Changing to GMT + 10 (Sydney) and time is 2 hours ahead.

Changing back to GMT + 7 (Bangkok) and now time is 3 hours ahead!!!
Now I must use GMT +4 (Muscat) to get the correct time here...

GMT + 00 (UTC) is also 2 hours ahead.

Looking at your time offsets in Europe, I can say that most of them are wrong.

Rome is listed as GMT +02 and so is also Stockholm. They should be GMT +01.

    Back to the drawing board

Re: NTP time off by 2 hrs on N5200 Pro

I have got the time working correct now by re-entering the DNS server for the WAN interface.
I didn't change it, I used the same, so it must somehow have been garbled without showing any error.

Still all the European choices displays wrong, London which is very near to Greenwich is
    listed as GMT + 1:00.
Using the London setting will give you the correct time of GMT + 0:00 though.

Could it be that the list is based on Daylight saving time ?
