    Question N5200 Webserver PHP Update

    Hi,

is it possible to somehow update the phpversion of the Webserver module for the N5200 Pro?
The included version is 5.1.2. I would need at least 5.1.3 or the current stable 5.2.6.

I do have shell access to the device, I just don't know how to savely update it or to change the module itself since I only got the .mod file.

    thanks in advance.

    Re: N5200 Webserver PHP Update

I don't know if it's something special, but I found out how to browse the whole NAS... If you follow the instruction for the ssh-module you can go up some folders... normally you're in root. When you type "cd .." there you find all the installed stuff... but I'm not used to work in a shell and with linux. Perhaps someone finds out how to update php manually...

I also need to install php extensions like curl.dll / curl.so ... has anyone an idea how?

    Re: N5200 Webserver PHP Update

I was not able to update the php version of the device. My problem was, that I wanted to do something with simplexml that was not supported. I solved it by using DOM XML.

I also browsed the thecus using ssh. The used php version cant just be replaced with a new one, you'd have to compile one for the n5200.
If anybody knows how to safely build a new firmware or the module for it, please give me a call ;-)

    DK
