N7700 wireless questions

Hi,

I see the N7700 support a few usb dongles for wireless, but it says the NAS becomes an access point.
Does this mean that if I got a wireless dsl modem/router they cannot communicate as both are access points?
I'd like to access my NAS through the internet when not at home.

Moving the box out to the entry hall to get rid of the noise and can't use cable to that room.
What are my options? Can I use wireless or do I have to resort to Homeplug devices?

It is support AP model only, thus we afraid act as a client to connect to your wireless dsl modem/router.
