HTTPS vs FTP -- for remote access -- 2gb limitation

I was testing the difference between accessing an N7700 Thecus over FTP port 21 or HTTPS remotely.

I found that there is a 2gb per File Size. limitation, using HTTPS

If you log onto the Thecus N7700 using web browser and HTTPS, with the Thecus GUI... all files are accessible until you reach a file 2gb or greater.. At this point, the web browser freezes, the Thecus becomes unresponsive, and you must manually walk over to the server and power it down using the front power button.

Thats too bad... Especially when you are on location accessing it.
Ive had 3 N7700's die permanetly, with motherboard failure, in this situation.. but we have not pin pointed it exactly... It happens in this course of events, each time though.

Using FTP to access the N770 proves no problems and any file size can be downloaded. 1.5gb , 5gb, 20gb, etc..

Just fyi if you have experienced this.

And fyi, Thecus has sent me the 5th N7700 for motherboard permament failure.
They still do now know whats happeneing.

With the same setup, N5200pro went strong for 2 years.
