Thecus 3200pro iTunes server not working for os x clients

the itunes server is not working when i connect to it from my mac with os x 10.5.6 and the itunes 8.0.2

what happens is that the shared server shows up in itunes under shared and i can click and login, but then .... it says "loading" and closes directly to my normal library view. i tried a lot, reinstall itunes etc. , but nothing works. the i launchend virtual windows on my mac and from there started itunes under windows and ... wow, here all my music shows up and all is fine.

so, what could cause this os x problem? anything on my side, itunes or network? or a bug in thecus software? thanx for any replies.

okay, i tried a lot of things and now it works. don't know why, i think it was changing the itunes sever password to none and after that i also could change it back to be password protected.
