Re: Thecus N7700 Hidden file problem
Yvon,
Tnx for the reply, but the problem is solved now. I made a new RAID 5 set that solves my problem.
The problem i mentiont was with a JBOD config of 1 disk.
Re: Thecus N7700 Hidden file problem
I have the same problem but I noticed something interesting. I too have hidden files that I cannot remove the hidden attribute. I get an "access denied" error and the permissions are correct. I then noticed this only happens with files named with a period as the first character like ".38 Special". When I rename the file to "38 Special" the hidden attribute is automatically removed. So apparently you can't name a file with a perios "." as the first character.
Does this match what your seeing?
Re: Thecus N7700 Hidden file problem
That matches the way UNix/Linux does work.
Filenames with a period as the first character are not displayed normally. You need to use switches to the 'ls' command, like 'ls -al' to see them
That is probably why they are hidden. They use some part of the lixus display to show them.
