Samba/cifs folder limit of 6 deep?

How many folder levels can you go down on a samba/cifs disk?

I am getting 'access denied' at the 7th level down:

The folder is mapped as 'snapshots'

    Underneath is:

    /hourly.0/raid/disk/SNAPSHOTS/USERS/philhu/Folderhere

I can cd down into philhu. Any attempt to go lower gets 'access denied'

I read somewhere the default is 6 levels max, but can be reconfigured to go lower. True? Am I seeing a Samba/cifs limit?

    Dear Sir,

We test via Windows samba without this 7th level folder limiation, thus please confirm this folder is public or been summit ACL with recursive, or specify via what platform for this Samba/cifs mount?
