Beta Firmware 2.01.08.5 ADS Bug

To those at Thecus:
With the beta firmware 2.01.08.5 if you navigate to the authentication page, enable ADS support, enter incorrect entries in the realm, server, administrator and password text fields and then click "Apply", you always get a success page, but with no message. E.g. realm=foo.org,server=bar,admin=nobody, password=badpassword.

If you enter correct information into this page you receive the same success page still with no message. In this case, the server is never added to the ADS domain. ADS Server is running Windows Server 2003.

Further, ADS authentication does not appear work correctly in this beta version, but it did in beta 2.01.07.4. That's a big regression. In fact, I have to wait to use this server instead of our old nas because of this issue.

If can't join Windows 2003 AD, please refere to : Active Directory Service Support configuration example

Once can't still not able to join AD, please sumit a ticket from http://esupport.thecus.com and we would arrange enginner to checking your system directly.

Thank you, Yvon. I should have mentioned that it conformed to that example. In fact, it worked fine in the previous beta firmware.

Is it possible to migrate a r5 from official FW 2.01.06 into 2.01.08.05.

MY N7700 shows no Raid-Information with 2.01.08.5 (on 2.01.06 there were 2 R5 3x1 & 5X1TB)

Is AD in native Mode on Server 2008 supported

In case anyone is following this thread, or has run into the same issue. This is the response I received from technical support:
"We had [sic] duplicated and reported this XFS issue to [sic] RD team; we will fix it in [sic] next firmware version."
