Anything on how to compile apps for Thecus?

I want to build a few modules, which will require compiling some std linux apps for the Thecus.

Is there documentation on building apps for Linux?

One I definitely need is PICO/NANO, Since a whole system I wrote uses that as the editor of choice.

    Thanks in advance

I was wondering this too. Is there a way to get to a command line? SSH or something?

I wanted to write some basic modules to achieve functionality that is missing and that I could normally just put in cron jobs, or the like.

Yes, I tested and answered my own question.

Almost any app from intel distributions work. I grabbed a redhat 9 'pico' and just ftp'ed it to my Thecus and set it to 755 and it ran fine.

There already is a module called sshd and one called sysuser. Those can give you a command line.
There are about 28 modules already written for the Thecus N5200/N7700

Do a google for 'Thecus 5200 modules' and go shopping
