    5200pro and Active Directory

    Hi
i have a problem with n5200pro and active directory integration.
    the firmware is updated.
The nas has been joined to domain succesfully but if i try to sync the users nothing happens.
i have installed network monitor on the domain controller and when i try the synchronization i see the following traffic between the nas and the domain controller

3 7221.439156 dns.exe {DNS:144, UDP:1719, IPv4:241} MINOSSE ZEUS DNS DNS:QueryId = 0xA724, QUERY (Standard query), Query for eth*.mydomain.info of type Host Addr on class Internet
    4 7221.439156 dns.exe {DNS:144, UDP:1719, IPv4:241} ZEUS MINOSSE DNS DNS:QueryId = 0xA724, QUERY (Standard query), Response - Name Error
5 7221.440156 dns.exe {DNS:145, UDP:1719, IPv4:241} MINOSSE ZEUS DNS DNS:QueryId = 0x2E98, QUERY (Standard query), Query for wlan*.mydomain.info of type Host Addr on class Internet
    6 7221.440156 dns.exe {DNS:145, UDP:1719, IPv4:241} ZEUS MINOSSE DNS DNS:QueryId = 0x2E98, QUERY (Standard query), Response - Name Error
7 7221.497159 dns.exe {DNS:146, UDP:1719, IPv4:241} MINOSSE ZEUS DNS DNS:QueryId = 0xBF04, QUERY (Standard query), Query for eth*.mydomain.info of type Host Addr on class Internet
    8 7221.497159 dns.exe {DNS:146, UDP:1719, IPv4:241} ZEUS MINOSSE DNS DNS:QueryId = 0xBF04, QUERY (Standard query), Response - Name Error
9 7221.498159 dns.exe {DNS:147, UDP:1719, IPv4:241} MINOSSE ZEUS DNS DNS:QueryId = 0x5E4E, QUERY (Standard query), Query for wlan*.mydomain.info of type Host Addr on class Internet
    10 7221.498159 dns.exe {DNS:147, UDP:1719, IPv4:241} ZEUS MINOSSE DNS DNS:QueryId = 0x5E4E, QUERY (Standard query), Response - Name Error

it seems nas is querying dns for record wlan*.mydomain.info adn eth*.mydomain.info
    why this query?
    after this nothing happens.

    what can be the problem?
    thanks for support

    Re: 5200pro and Active Directory

    Dear Sir,

Following checkign point for your reference:
    1. Checking from SYSTEM->LOG for any AD server disconnection message.
    2. Refer to following link about Active Directory Service Support configuration example:
    http://esupport.thecus.com/support/i...temid=69&nav=0
    3. Sumit a ticket from http://esupport.thecus.com we would arrange engineer to checking this N5200 remotely.

    Re: 5200pro and Active Directory

    Thanks for your reply.
Unluckly there are no messages in the log that show disconnections from AD.
The document linked to your post is the one i used when i made the configuration and the configuration seems correct.
i have opened the ticket WFC-798575 three days ago but so far i have not received any answers.
