    NTSF format

Due to my external harddrive is NTFS format, its only support "read only"
but i want to copy files from my external harddrive to my NAS.

is there a way to make it read&write ?

    Thank you

If you want to copy FROM disk TO nas then Read-only is all you need.

There is a ntfs3g module or something like that that you can install to mount NTFS volumes RW.

I do not know if you have to have SSH access to unmount their automount and then remount using ntfs3g.

"Read only" allows only to view and play the data, but not modify add delete the data.

I think philhu was actually meaning the NTFS3G module for the N5200 (http://www.onbeat.dk/thecus/index.ph...Module:_NTFS3G), but then you hadn't told us what NAS you had at that point.

There isn't a module for the N3200Pro, no idea if it is possible or not. But as blueball said, if you are just copying from an external drive to the NAS, you only need to be able to read it.

Yes I know but you initially said that all you wanted to do was to copy FROM the disk TO the nas box.

But as blueball said, if you are just copying from an external drive to the NAS, you only need to be able to read it.

    Thats very strange,
cause when i try to copy my files from my external drive to the NAS it says no permission. also i am unable to "modify/delete/write on the external drive", same error occur.

I have not put any permissions anywhere, even my NFS setup is Anonymous login.

am i doing something wrong here?

how about this USBCOPY, can i move the files from my USBCOPY folder to any other folder within the NAS ?
